E-commerce search for term: Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerceⁱ, consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the internet and other computer networks. Commonly a consumer-focused web store will showcase a catalogue of products or services and allow a visitor to select specific items for purchase in a virtual "shopping cart" until ready to check out. Typically payment is collected by credit card, however other payment methods such as direct debit, debit card, COD, cheque, postal order, and other payment methods may be supported.
